Softies for Christmas

20 Dec

What’s the difference between a goose and a duck? Do they both honk and quack? Should duck, duck, goose, really be goose, goose, duck?

I don’t know the answer to these questions, and I’m pretty sure a one year old won’t know either. So although, his favorite animal is a duck, I made him a goose for Christmas and plan to call it a duck. And for my other cousin’s kid, I made him my cousin’s favorite animal, a giraffe, since I don’t know his favorite.

They match! Now, they can go on play dates together, walk into bars together and hear “quacker” and “sticking your neck” out jokes, and travel back in time to attend some of 2011’s highlights together:

Attending the royal wedding.

In line to get their iPhone 4s.

At the grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.

Getting political at Occupy Wall Street.

Practicing their planking in Times Square.

Sure is nice to have a friend to go time traveling with, and some background music to go along with it too:
